Comfort zones – change

COMFORT ZONES When our current image of the truth is threatened with the real truth, conflict occurs and we become uncomfortable and awkward. A temperature thermostat turns on the heat when it becomes cold and turns on the cold when it becomes hot, to manage a constant temperature in our environment. We have our own thermostat to regulate what we believe to be the truth. For example, if you’re playing golf and your average is 120 and you do a round where you don’t take score because your friend is, to your surprise you hit a 58 because you don’t know how well you’re playing. When you realise that you’ve hit such a high score, your belief system in your subconscious is different to what you have just shot. The next round you play you will not be relaxed, your palms will be sweaty and you will slowly go back to your old performance; your subconscious performance ‘kicks into gear’.

Feeling happy

We have all experienced this; a group talking about their boss, the company, the economy or their life in a negative way. The person with the best story about the worst situation is always the person that is having the most problems in their life and tends to focus on the negative. They are the turkeys and the people that are writing the least amount! Feed yourself with positive information for selfish reasons because you like being successful, you like to be enthusiastic, you like having more money. You like to simply be happy.
